STEM Genesis governance is based on successful models used for venture-backed startup companies. Our direction is set by the founding members with guidance from a Board of Advisors. Executive officers manage company operations and run day to day activities.
Dr. Michael Muthig is the President/CEO of STEM Genesis and has nearly 30 years experience that includes technology commercialization, new company creation, corporate management, business development, market research, project management, and staff supervision. Since 1996, Dr. Muthig has focused on technology commercialization and has worked with government labs, universities, private companies, and individual inventors to identify business applications for emerging technologies. Dr. Muthig leads corporate activities and oversees development of new projects.
VP of Business Development
Mr. Santos Figueroa is the Vice President of Business Development. He is mission-focused, seasoned, strategic, and process-minded with experience scaling an organization and developing a performance culture among a group of talented individuals. He facilitates delivery on company initiatives and provides cost-effective results that turn a vision into reality. As the former COO for Ideal Image (one of the largest hair removal spas in the US), he played a key role in building departments, enhancing company performance and leveraging automation in company processes and procedures. Mr. Figueroa was part of the executive team that lead development and sale of Ideal Image to Steiner Leisure for $175 million.
Product Development Manager
Christian Haller is the founder of The RavenOye Group, a strategic advisory practice dedicated accelerating transformative technologies into the marketplace. In the past 30 years, he has assisted more than 200 companies with successful commercialization, design and engineering, funding, market entry and acquisition in the areas of medical devices, combination products, diagnostic devices, and pharmaceuticals. Mr. Haller is the founder of AdvaMed’s Entrepreneur’s Boot Camp and EBD’s Japan Medtech Partnering Forum. the Vice President of Business Development.
Vicki Anastasi has over 30 years experience providing strategic guidance to medical device companies and investment firms in the areas of regulatory and clinical planning, market analysis, product viability, and operational assessment. Additionally, she helps companies create and foster priority relationships in the medical device and diagnostic marketplaces with an emphasis on regulatory matters and agencies worldwide. Ms. Anastasi has developed a specialty in guiding early stage companies through development and regulatory approval globally. She is actively involved in medical device industry groups, including AdvaMed, OCTANe, MDIC, MDMA and MassMedic.
Chief Financial Officer
STEM Genesis is seeking a Chief Financial Officer (CFO). Financial management is currently performed by Dr. Muthig with assistance from other management members, a bookkeeper, and outside accountants/auditors. We also receive guidance and direction on financial matters from our board of advisors.
